What is Publishing?

Publishing is the "back-end" of the record, and as such
It's not your responsiblity to physically send me these funds.

Why is the split 50%?

The rate is 50% because songs are regarded as Lyrics and Melody,
And in this instance they would be split evenly (50/50),
So half would go to the artist and the other half to the producer.
